Gardening for Beginners

Gardening is one of the most rewarding skills you can develop - and one of the most forgiving to learn. Plants want to grow. Your job is to give them what they need and get out of the way. The Vault Library has vetted the free YouTube channels that teach gardening from the ground up, for beginners who have never put a seed in the soil.

What You Need to Know

• ✓Start small - a 4x4 raised bed is enough to learn everything you need to know
• ✓Soil is everything - invest in good soil before you invest in anything else
• ✓Full sun means at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day
• ✓Water consistently - most garden problems are either over or under watering
• ✓Grow what you actually eat - there is no point in growing vegetables you will not use
